Regardless of your skin type, you should thoroughly wash your face with a mild, gentle cleanser anywhere from one to two times per day. Make sure you remove all makeup before you begin a cleaning regimen. If not, you’ll get acne and clogged pores.

In order to improve the health of your skin, brush your skin with a soft brush prior to taking a shower. This helps moisturize your skin and stimulates your oil glands. Use a circular motion if you want to keep your face moisturized.

Caffeine is a culprit in the world of beauty. Not only does it make you jittery, but caffeine can also age you and make you look groggy. If your eyes aren't looking the way you wish, you should experiment with makeup techniques! Use lengthening,
waterproof mascara for boosting your lashes' volume. There are a ton of mascara products out there, and many
of them now claim that they can add length and curl to your lashes.

Unfortunately, these formulas can often be heavy. This will cause your lashes to get weighed down. Instead of
using a product that will be adding weight, just use a waterproof lengthening formula. This will help your lashes look voluminous and curl upward.

Could you be allergic to your eyelash glue? To find out if you are allergic to it, apply some of this glue to your arm. Insert some plaster on the top of this. Leave it on for a full 24 hours. If there isn't a rash, then it won't be an issue.

Reading these Fashion Tips and Trends also beauty tips should already start making you feel better. Now you know
how to design your own successful beauty routine. You can always return to this list too.

How to Stay Hot This Winter: Top Must-Have Fashion Trends of the Year

By Kelly Wilson

As sad it may be, summer is coming to an end and, depending on where you live, winter may be just around the corner.  This means tanks, shorts, and flip-flops need to make way for your warm and cozy winter collection.

But what’s hot this upcoming winter?

If you are looking to stay on point this winter with the hottest fashion trends, read on to find out what pieces you will need to go out and buy in a hurry.

Ski Jackets

Colorful, waxy ski jackets are all the rage both on and off the slopes.  Not only do they keep you nice and warm when the blustery weather sets in, but they also make a stunning fashion statement as well.  Try pairing your favorite ski jacket with a pair of slacks and heels this winter, or even match your old pair of boyfriend jeans to that colorful coat you plan to wear snowboarding in a couple of weeks.

Red, Red, Red

It never fails.  Every winter the newest collections are released, fresh new looks hit the runways, and the famous prints and colors for the upcoming cold season are on full display.  And, it never ceases to amaze anyone that is the smoldering color red.

Plaid Style

And speaking of prints, the cloth is set to be the next big thing this upcoming 2018 winter.  Plaid dresses, overcoats, skirts, and more are destined to land in every fashionista’s closet because it’s merely the trendy thing to do.

Plaid not your thing?  That’s okay.   and feels smoking hot, it is still making waves in all different ways so you are safe sticking with that if you just can’t jump on the plaid bandwagon.  In fact, going leopard your new go-to neutral will add an entirely new dynamic to your winter closet, making you stand out amongst those that can’t bear to wear anything but black all winter long.

Leggings

Leggings have come and gone…and are back again.  And, despite their polarizing nature (we all know that one friend that refuses to give in and try them) leggings are here to stay.

Comfy, casual, and making you look good no matter what, the perfect pair of leggings work well under dresses and skirts proving that sometimes we just shouldn’t let some styles go no matter how outdated they seem.

Puffer Coats

Puffer coats are also another popular trend that seems to be sticking around.  With a variety of styles – from super metallic, to light and feathery – this jacket staple will instantly add style to your boring all-black winter wardrobe, making your hot once again.

Try this brightly colored and let everyone know that despite the age-old tale that everyone gets the winter blues, you are choosing to stay happy and bright this winter season.

Fringe

Fringe, our old 1970’s BFF, is coming back with a bang this season, and for a good reason.  It dances to and fro, it’s fun to twirl around in, and it adds an old-fashioned, yet unique look to any outfit, especially in the winter when most people are covered from head to toe trying to stay warm.  Get a fringe jacket, poncho, skirt, or even a fringe winter bag and join in on the fun that fringe is bound to bring to your long, cold days.

Faux Fur

It’s not enough to stay warm and cozy during the cold winter months.  You have to do so in style.  One of the best ways to keep the cold out, but remain looking fabulous, is to invest in one of the winter’s hottest trends – faux fur coats.  Coming in playful candy colors such as bubblegum pink, or the classic go-to black, your faux fur coat is sure to steal the spotlight anywhere you go.

If a faux coat is a little too trendy for you, but you just can’t give up the thought of wearing a brightly colored piece of fuzzy warmth this winter, be daring and go for a furry hat instead.  Coming in any color, you can think of; this funky accessory will make you stand out in amongs’t the crowd of people all opting for boring beanies and earmuffs.

Slouchy Boots

Last winter we were knee deep in tall boots for the winter.  But this year, women are trending more towards the low ankle, slouchy boot.  Complement your favorite pair of leggings or fitted jeans, or add a couple to match perfectly with your sultry midi dress.  No matter the occasion, this practical fashion item will easily top off your winter collection.

So there you have it.  Eight wintry pieces to get you headed into winter in style – hot as you come – despite the cold winter temperatures.

Women’s Fashion and Spring Style Print Guide and How to Match Them

By Kelly Wilson

The Spring Print Guide (+ How To Mix Them!)

See spring’s best prints and how to mix these patterns together!

florals

Florals

Fun, flirty and feminine—no pattern says spring like florals. This season, the name of the game is big and bold. Think: less “Couch-Cover-Chic” and more “Dancing-on-the-Riviera.” Pair a ladylike skirt with a structured top, statement bag and stacked-heel spring shoes for a look that’s a million miles from being a wallflower.

Stripes

Warmer winds are inspiring us to change our stripes. When it comes to most patterns, size makes all the difference in making or breaking the vibe you’re going for. While we love a good pinstripe, this season’s pattern is wider, mixed, and faded, creating the ultimate modern boho look. Relax the pant leg and pair with a light, breezy top and natural bag for a style that’s boardwalk, not boardroom.

 Plaid

Plaid is one of the most versatile patterns ever created. If plaid were a person, it could hang out in any crowd. Equally welcome in all looks from grunge to prep, this season, the vibe is classic. Reach for an exaggerated, oversized plaid in a light, airy fabric to embrace the season. Pair it with your favorite dark skinnies and a structured tote for a look that’s both of-the-moment and completely timeless.

 Gingham

When we think of gingham, one word comes to mind: fresh. This crisp pattern is often confused with plaid, but two main factors set it apart. First, gingham checkers are completely symmetrical, no matter how large or small. Second, only one color is woven in to create the pattern. This spring, modernize your gingham with some strappy flats, a neck sash and your favorite denim in a well-loved rinse.

Polka dots

If you’re looking to put some prep in your step this spring, then polka dots are your go-to pattern. The larger the dot, the more vintage the vibe. Since the preppy look is all about tailoring and structure, stick to a small dot on a dark color. Mix some white denim shorts with a classic denim jacket for a look that’s comfy, casual, and super clean.

3 Easy Tips on Pairing Prints

As the old saying goes, you can’t ever have too much of a good thing. When it comes to mixing and matching prints and patterns, we couldn’t agree more. Here are a few simple guidelines on mastering your spring mix.

Scroll through to see more tips on pairing patterns!

1. Keep your eyes on the size

When mixing things up, pick your “hero” pattern and start there. Let’s say you’re going with a statement floral dress. This pattern should be the biggest, and all others (i.e. on your jacket or sash) should be smaller in size.

2. Stick to the story

Staying in a singular palette will keep your outfit from looking thrown together. If your hero piece is warm and bright, reach for complementary patterns that are in the same color story. Better yet if two of the prints share the exact same colors.

3. When in doubt, stay neutral

Neutrals are anything but boring, but they are safe. If you’re rocking a mixed print as your hero piece, neutral patterns (black, white, tan, cream, etc) are an easy addition and will bring your look down to earth.

What’s your favorite spring print? Schedule your Fix and ask your Stylist to include them in your Fix Note!

Fashion and Style

As you grow older, you may be tempted by the various color palettes that come and go, but do not feel you should automatically change your color choices. Your hair and your skin change as you get older. Certain colors are going to look good on you now that didn’t before; and conversely, there will be colors coming through the stores that simply don’t look good. Look for flattering colors and avoid colors that don’t work for you.

Beauty is not just a science; it’s also an art. These tips are there to assist you in understanding beauty, so that you can put your own touch on it and then you may look interesting and unique. Stop wasting money and time with gimmicks and look great today.
