The Oil you Need in Your Natural Hair Care Castor Oil

There is an oil you’ve been missing in your natural hair care routine, and I’m not talking about coconut oil, although I still love that too. It’s from another plant, which your mom might have used for everything when you were growing up. It is, after all, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, a painkiller, an immune system stimulant and, you guessed it – a hair stimulant. Have you guessed yet? It’s castor oil.

The Oil you Need in Your Natural Hair care Castor oil (like coconut oil) is one of the most versatile (and affordable) oils I’ve come across in the beauty space, that not only has beatifying properties topically, but also internally. Today’s post is going to focus on the topical usage, with a focus on natural hair care and preventing hair loss naturally (although Castor oil has natural antiviral and antimicrobial properties, making it a popular treatment for skin problems known as dermatosis and fungal infections).

Tropic Isle Living’s castor beans are picked on their own farm in Jamaica. And what’s so magic about this all-natural oil is that it is so rich in fatty acids, which work to promote the growth of hair, nails, eyebrows & eyelashes. A large percentage of castor oil contains Ricinoleic […] The post You’re Missing this Oil in Your Natural Haircare Routine. You should not style your hair with heated appliances every day. Overusing your curling iron, flat iron, blow dryer, curler or other products can lead to fried, frizzy hair. Permit your hair to air-dry as frequently as you can, and share with your hair a break from heated styling tools. In the event you need to use these tools, apply a heat-protective spray or balm to your hair prior to use.

Make sure that you are getting proper nourishment and rest. Stress and anxiety, on its own, will not make your hair drop totally out. Natural hair loss comes from 50 to 120 strands on a daily basis. Stress does, nonetheless, use up additional resources so when your body becomes deficient, hair loss an result. Resources range from the B Vitamins and other important nutrients. Additionally, poor sleep with time wears down your body's adrenal system, affecting hormones, which may also trigger hair loss.

When you are getting ready to wash your hair with shampoo, make sure that you rinse it out thoroughly before you apply the shampoo. This will remove any residue, such as dirt and dust that your hair may have accumulated. You will get more cleansing power from your shampoo by doing this.

Hair should not be washed daily. If you haven't had a day where your hair has gotten excessively dirty, then tend not to wash it. A schedule of washing every 2-3 days will prevent your hair from becoming dry. You will spend less time looking to rejuvenate your hair, and additional time focusing on making the most of it.

When deciding on a brush, you should choose one which is made from natural animal hairs, as opposed to one created from synthetic materials. The bristles on the natural brushes will be more soft and flexible, making it less inclined to cause any difficulties for your hair, if you use it on a regular basis.

Consider adjusting up the types of shampoos and conditioners you make use of from time to time. Your hair can get used to the kind of products you're using and might not respond to them as well as they may have in the beginning. Do not downgrade the brand names you use though!

Natural Hair Oils

It is actually desirable to brush your hair, as this distributes your hair oils to be able to nourish your hair. Once all of the tangles are really untangled, after that start brushing at the top and brush your way downwards. This method distributes natural oils throughout the hair.

Processed with VSCO with f2 preset

While it doesn’t look much like summer here yet, I’ve crafted the perfect morning yoga playlist for when it is.
It’s Saturday morning here in Oslo, and I have to admit, the constant rain outside is starting to get to me a
little. I’m longing for sunshine, vegan and organic popsicles, oceanside walks and warm summer evenings.

I suppose I should have known what I was getting into when I decided to move so close to the North Pole. That
being said, I wanted to have a sunshine vibe list for my Rise & Shine classes, and I think this one does the trick.

Check out the tracks, and let me know what you think. xx Morning Flow Sequencing Opening Seated Viloma Breath

My favorite cream blush and many of the items in my natural makeup routine apply best with a brush. Keeping clean makeup brushes is almost as important to me as choosing non-toxic makeup. Cleaning makeup brushes isn’t usually the first thing on our to-do lists … if it’s ever on there at all. But it’s undeniable…

Dry Brushing For Skin: 5 Benefits & How to Do It The Right Way

You probably brush your hair, and your teeth (hopefully with natural toothpaste), but do you brush your skin? And why would

Dry Brushing for Skin

This practice has been gaining popularity lately and with good reason. I’ve even noticed “dry brushing” as an offering on the
menu at spas in hotels I stayed at recently. Dry Brushing has many potential benefits from smoother skin to helping with
lymphatic drainage.

So what is it and why should you consider doing it?

Dry brushing is exactly what it sounds like… brushing the skin in a particular pattern with a dry brush, usually before
showering. In dry brushing, the skin is typically brushed toward the heart, starting at the feet and hands and brushing toward
the chest.

Benefits of Dry Brushing

I’ve been dry brushing my skin for years, mostly because it feels great and makes my skin softer, but there are other benefits
as well:

1. Lymphatic Support:

The lymphatic system is a major part of the body’s immune system. It is made up of organs and lymph nodes, ducts and
vessels that transport lymph throughout the body. Many of these lymph vessels run just below the skin and proponents of
dry brushing claim that brushing the skin regularly helps stimulate the normal lymph flow within the body and help the
body detoxify itself naturally.

2. Exfoliation

This benefit is often noticed the first time a person dry brushes. The process of running a firm, natural bristled brush
over the skin helps loosen and remove dead skin cells, naturally exfoliating skin. I noticed much softer skin in the first
few days and weeks after I started dry brushing and my skin has stayed soft. Dry brushing is one of the simplest and most
natural ways to exfoliate skin. I love this benefit of skin brushing and how soft my skin feels when I do this regularly!

3. Clean Pores (& Smaller Pores!)

The added benefit of exfoliating the skin, is clearing oil, dirt and residue from the pores. Using a specialized smaller
gentler dry brush for the face, I notice that my face is softer and my pores are much less noticeable.

4. Cellulite Help

Though the evidence is anecdotal, I’ve found many accounts of people who claimed that regular dry brushing greatly helped
their cellulite. I talked about this and my other cellulite remedies here. There isn’t much research to back the cellulite
claims, but dry brushing feels great and makes skin softer, so there isn’t really any downside to trying it!
5. Natural Energy Boost

I can’t explain why but dry brushing always gives me a natural energy boost. For this reason, I wouldn’t recommend dry
brushing at night but it is great in the morning. One theory is that because it increases circulation, it also increases
energy. Either way, dry brushing is part of my morning routine.
