Marrakesh is a matte, rich tawny brown. It reminds me of Revlon’s Toast of New York (but with more brown and less orange). Definitely for neutral to warm skin tones ONLY. It goes so well with my light yellow-toned skin, brown eyes, & auburn hair!
MAC Marrakesh is similar to MAC Chili, but again, with more brown and less orangey-red. If Chili was too orange for you or made your teeth look yellow (as it did for me), then Marrakesh is a great sub. You’ll get that matte brown/red look without looking like you have tikka masala sauce on your lips 😊This color can be worn full-strength or as a stain. It is very matte, like Ruby Woo and Viva Glam I.
I find it to be lightweight and not drying, fortunately. It feels great on… and, in these days of COVID-19, it doesn’t transfer onto my mask, so… bonus! – Olfactoria

- This lipstick is a warm reddish, brick-brown that you can wear more neutral with one swipe, as pictured. Or build-up for a deeper color. Last 6+ hours, even after eating, it just turned into a stain. Not drying and not patchy. I Love MAC because of allergies can not do perfumey smelling lipstick.
This is matte but not drying and does not tug when applying as such. Ensure to exfoliate and condition lips before applying. That rare complimentary color across all age groups and colors. - I was first sent the wrong shade, so I had to return that.
Then, as I was opening the correct one, the lipstick completely popped out of the tube.
I wasn’t aggressive at all when opening it, so it must have detached itself somehow.
As for the lipstick itself:
(I got Russian Red)
It is not moisturizing at all, and I find I have to use lip balm before and after.
The shade is definitely on the bluer side.
It is definitely long-lasting- which I appreciate.
